This was a group management position reporting to the group finance director. I was responsible for all intermodal liability claims including short sea and deep sea claims. Not only has this approach delivered fantastic results over the years, the consequence of that success is the overall cost benefit to the business. It secured year on year reduced premiums, and in the years when the policy was underwritten in the UK, a return of premium in the form of profit commissions from underwriters.
