After matriculating from Hoërskool Riebeeck in Randfontein in 1981 I joined JCI as a Learner official in mine surveying. I went for military training in July 1982 and received a Pro Patria medal for 18 months border duty. I was at Witwatersrand Technicon from 1985 to 1987. I was then seconded to WAGM and in 1990 Transferred to Joel. In 2002 I was offered a position in the project office on Beatrix Gold Mine. I am currently still employed at Beatrix Gold Mine.During 1998, i was fortunate enough to be chosen by JCI as a participant in the LDP (Leadership Development Programme) presented by Unisa. In 2002 i successfully completed a Project Managers course at GFBLA and in 2007 i successfully completed a MAP course also at GFBLA.I get on very well with my fellow team members. I am a good motivator and always achieve the desired results. I am a hard working employee and always give that extra effort to achieve 24 Carat excellence. I believe in a system where there are effective communication and mutual respect amongst employees. From 1997 I was involved in all the feasibility studies on Joel mine. My knowledge and experience was used to analyze various options and mining techniques. I gained lots of experience in the financial and accounting fields through determining the net present values and rates on return for the different options of the mine.I have been in the Mineral Resource Department for 30 years and have extensive experience in all the MRM fields.
