    From August 2013 I worked with the CIO and Transformation Programme Manager in establishing a major organisational transformation programme encompassing 300 staff within Information Services. Establishing a customer focussed organisation engaging with the business and delivering excellent service that resulted in a positive career change to be in a more customer-focused role.From August 2012 I worked with the Director of IT Services and the Transformation Programme Manager in the development of IT Services strategy and the development/implementation of an Information Services Transformation programme to achieve a step improvement in IS capability in meeting the University's requirements. This included a readiness assessment with a partner and procurement to outsource the University network services to an external supplier along with an action plan to achieve this.From July 2010Responsibility for the Strategy and Leadership for Infrastructure including Infrastructure Architecture, Strategic Partnerships and Vendor Management, Infrastructure and Security Services, High Performance Computing Services and Data Centre Services. Accountable for over 40 members of staff and a Staffing, Operational and Strategic budget in excess of £3m.I was senior supplier and senior vendor manager for projects that predominantly used external suppliers to design and delivery IT projects and services including Identity and Access Management, Vets School Connectivity and International Connectivity Project that delivered Private lease lines in to China and Malaysia. In Addition to this a server virtualisation project that saved the University hundreds of thousands of pounds in Hardware, software and space. I was also a key driver behind the University’s first trial of cloud-based services by outsourcing student email to the Microsoft Cloud and were in discussions with a strategic partner to run the University’s infrastructure design and project delivery services.
