Chris Pair is Vice-President of Data & Analytics for the Information Technology and Services (IT&S) division of HCA, a Fortune 100 company and the nation's leading provider of healthcare services delivering approximately five percent of all inpatient care in the United States today. Through the past 16 years, he has led the development of HCA’s enterprise data warehouse, business intelligence, and analytics systems. His current role includes the continued development of those systems along with an unparalleled clinical data warehouse and big data platform. Previously, Pair was Vice President of Enterprise Product Development for HCA, leading the creation and integration of its enterprise information and online systems, including a network of 900 web properties, consumer and patient portal development, collaborative systems, data warehouse, and B.I. and analytics systems. Pair has also led the Project and Portfolio Management organization for IT&S, where he and his team developed the project and resource management processes along with the execution of the IT project portfolio. He has had operational responsibility for HCA’s Enterprise Information Systems and Software Technology groups and was one of the initiators of the ehc.com web services initiative. This team led the development of the company’s original Internet software and infrastructure, its intranet and collaborative systems, and many practical applications of Internet technologies for healthcare. HCA’s Internet systems and services received more than 20 industry awards during Pair’s tenure. Before joining HCA, Pair held information systems management positions with Suntrust Banks and IBM Corporation. He is a member of the Nashville Technology Council and has served as a member of Microsoft's Enterprise Roadmap Cabinet and a number of other IT advisory boards. He has an MBA degree from Vanderbilt University and a bachelor's degree from Austin Peay State University.
