With three decades in print, broadcast and online media, I am a senior producer with extensive experience of the UK’s most-watched and scrutinised news programmes for the world’s best-known international broadcaster. My role comprises editorially leading news programmes, delivering and driving TV production and commissioning innovative and creative treatments.I am also a Defence Analyst using my wide-ranging knowledge gathered over the past 20 years to deliver investigative analysis of weapons use. With the invasion of Ukraine, I have written extensively for BBC Online and interviewed by the BBC’s World Service programmes on matters of weapons deployment. This often under-reported and much less understood aspect of Defence makes my skill set invaluable within the wider media environment.A proven commitment to accurate, impartial and insightful journalism has been the central tenet of my career. I deliver clarity, focus, understanding and ‘getting things done’ within tight deadlines - as part of a framework with incredible colleagues working on programmes and open source investigations. A strong communicator and negotiator comfortable working with all areas of senior management and on-air talent.My work includes responsibility for promoting the BBC’s News at Ten programme, including at the prestigious Royal Television Society’s Television Journalism Awards. Last year our entry won the RTS Daily News Programme of the Year, beating a field of entries from the most respected broadcasters.My passions include all aspects of motorsport, particularly Formula One. I have driven Kimi Raikkonen’s actual 2012 F1 race-winning car at the Paul Ricard Circuit in the south of France, delivering TV and Online reports for the BBC. My journey gaining my sports car racing licence was also serialised in reports for BBC Breakfast and BBC Sport online.Outside of work, I'm a qualified drone pilot for commercial opportunities: GVC VLOS for Specific Category Operations & A2CofC in the Open Category.
