Fortunately, a creative director saw potential in my scribbles and hired me as a copywriter at Mullen Advertising Inc. (formerly Long, Haymes, and Carr). This was pre-internet, and I had the chance to work across various mediums, including radio, TV, print, direct mail, and sports marketing. I penned fun jingles for soft drink brands and even my childhood favorite candy Now & Later (ask me to sing it sometime!), and led quite a few national print campaigns across a bunch of different industries. I absorbed invaluable lessons from talented colleagues and learned that great creative work can achieve remarkable results for companies that invest in it.After 12 years, I founded PAVE Creative Group, aiming to deliver high-quality, smart creative work for large regional and local clients. Over 11 years as a partner, I grew it into a $3 million business with 20 employees. Eventually, I joined SAS, the world’s largest privately held analytics company, where I led an 80+ person in-house agency comprising a world-class video and event management team, a digital marketing agency, and an exceptional project and asset management team.Today, I’ve returned to my creative roots, partnering with a talented director, videographer, and digital marketer to form Restless Rabbit.
