I have worked in the Industrial Engineering (IE) department at UPS for 15 years. I started in the operations as a part-time union package handler in the year 2000 to pay for my college degree. Six months later I was promoted into a supervisory position and realized that I was here for much more than just a degree. After a few years of being a Front Line Supervisor my direct manager encouraged me to apply for a job in IE and I am thankful for him leading me to this rewarding career path. Since being in IE I have held various assignments that have allowed me to gain a great deal of experience in supporting diverse operations and projects including:• Hub (Processing 416K packages an hour)• Ramp (Loading and Unloading 110 aircraft a night)• Aircraft Fueling• International (Import, Export, Customs compliance)• Automation Sortation Planning• Peak Season Planning• Working side by side to develop new technologies with our IT department• Planning utilization, layout, and operating plans for new construction projects I am a quick learner that is intrinsically motivate to drive positive results. I enjoy learning unfamiliar operations and identifying new opportunities for efficiencies. The most enjoyable part of my current job is developing people and watching them succeed. Faith, family and friends play a huge role in our lives. My family and I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and hunting. I have coached various sports over the last 10 years and love to see the children succeed to their maximum abilities. When not at ball fields we love to entertain friends and treat ourselves to the occasional adult night out.
