On site construction engineering manager for the Jumbo PTA/PET project. Responsible for all engineering disciplines during the construction and commissioning phase of the projects.

Lead mechanical engineer for 1.5+ billion dollar PTA and PET project (performed EPC). Provided support and direction for front end engineering and procurement of all mechanical components (reactors, pumps, agitators, heat exchangers, tanks, filters, etc.). Responsibilities included: - Involved with creation and harmonization of specifications and requirements across project areas - Coordinate with technology providers for the PTA and PET processes to properly design and develop critical reactor vessels and equipment - Work with and lead the mechanical groups of Detail Engineering Companies (located in China for PTA and India for PET) for design and specification of all equipment - Review and qualify vendor bids - approve Technical Bid Analysis performed by DECs - Participate if final negotiation and technical alignment for critical equipment - Lead kick off meetings for critical equipment and large POs - Approve reviews of vendor documentation performed by DECs - Organize and direct problem solving sessions (coordinating with vendors, technology providers and third party experts) for fabrication and design issues For the duration of this role, approximately 50% of the time was international travel to facilitate and expedite work from DECs. It also included an expatriate assignment in Beijing for several months.

Design of vessels and machinery for the petrochemical industry (primarily PET). - Performed FEA analysis of critical reactors and machinery (including development of load scenarios and interpretation) - 3D modeling and drawing creation (SolidWorks and Inventor) - Engineering support for clients during de-bottleneck projects - Failure analysis of equipment and development of repair procedures - Worked with technology providers to develop reactors and increase capacity - Value engineering on existing equipment to be more competitive in the market and less expensive to operate and maintain

Mechanical design and analysis of nuclear fuel for BWRs. This included design for shipping fuel, fuel performance and efficiency, and basic mechanical soundness of new designs for both fuel rods and channel. Perform mechanical analysis and documentation for NRC compliance and review.
