Perform field surveys, collect, analyze and interpret data for various estuarine and marine state and federal resource management and monitoring programs as well as initiate, oversee and coordinate research efforts associated with the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in accordance with federal guidelines established by NOAA

o Conduct research, restoration, monitoring, and outreach in aquatic ecosystemso Common duties: grant writing, experimental design, ecosystem monitoring, laboratory analyses, data management and analysis, project management, and dissemination of resultso Projects examples: Monitoring ecosystem impacts of climate change, Utilizing invasive species as a biofuel, Exploring natural stressors to invasive species in sensitive ecosystems, SWMP at Great Bay Estuary (water quality, meteorological, habitat), Coastal habitat restoration (tidal marsh, seagrass meadows, oyster reefs), Developing metrics for identifying restoration success, Examining effects of open ocean aquaculture, Determining population trends of threatened aquatic plants

Initiate and conduct coastal marsh restoration projectsLaboratory teaching instructor for a college courseSupport community outreach programs at local and state levels o Train and lead volunteers to monitor coastal restoration projectso Involve local schools in coastal ecology and restoration through classroom and field activities
