I'm excited to announce that I've joined the European Union Youth Sounding Board in Uganda!The Youth Sounding Board is a platform for young people to ensure that the European Union's development cooperation in Uganda is more participatory, relevant, and effective. I'm honored to be selected to serve on this important board and I'm looking forward to working with my fellow members to amplify the voices of young people in Uganda and advocate for their needs.One of my priorities on the board will be to create opportunities for young people and youth organizations to express their views and connect with the European Union Delegation and EU member states in Uganda. I'm also committed to working with the board to hold the EU accountable for its commitments to young people and to advocate for changes to EU policies and programs that are not meeting the needs of young people in Uganda.I'm passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people in Uganda and I'm confident that the Youth Sounding Board will be a powerful tool for achieving this goal.

In addition to the responsibilities that came with my previous role as the M&E Associate; As a MEL Coordinator, I work with the Program Country Director and the whole Uganda leadership team to ensure that M&E tools are delivered to site supervisors, SWB's Global M&E policies are followed; I also provide training and capacity building to the local M&E staff while coordinating with the US-based MEL staff on various MEL projects and activities.

As an M&E Associate, I co-led the implementation of the monitoring systems by designing and developing data collection tools. I also monitored and evaluated program activities, outputs, and progress towards anticipated results at the SWB Uganda site, working with data platforms, databases, and selecting technologies to capture and organize the data.

I Managed and organized the CBIM implementation at the SWB Uganda hub while supporting SWB Uganda coaches in the CBIM program delivery. I Spearheaded the CBIM administrative processes of the SWB Uganda Site including Monitoring and Evaluation, Reporting and Networking. I also represented the SWB Uganda site in all the CBIM groups including the FWV’s Learning Collaborative, SWB-wide task force on CBIM and more. I developed and led all the staff training on Restorative Practices and CBIM, leading the implementation of Restorative Practices for behavior management for incidents that happen both on the pitch and at the youth center.

As a youth instructor, I worked with underprivileged refugee youth in Kampala and its surrounding by providing and overseeing the implementation of a wide variety of age-appropriate activities. I also planned and led English literacy/numeracy and Lifeskills educational sessions for refugee youth from DR Congo, Burundi, South Sudan, and Ugandan nationals.

Together with the community team, managed a community of over 120,000 volunteers; assisted with community engagement as well as recruitment, outreach and development.

As a program coordinator; I led, planned, and assisted with the coordination of education programs that consisted of Functional Adult Literacy, English classes, and Vocational classes. I also monitored the implementation of program policies and practices while working to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets, and ensuring it is functioning smoothly.

I taught two classes of Basic Computer Literacy to both nationals and refugees in Kampala and its surrounding; these classes were tailored to provide practical basic computer skills to refugees and underprivileged nationals to compete in the job market.
