I am a relationship manager above all else! This skill has served me well over my 16+ year career in Construction Management. My aim is to always work smart and work hard. I successfully pass that same energy to all involved, which ultimately reflects in the execution of successful projects.My career in construction began in 1989, when I worked summers to pay for University. I returned to the Construction industry in a Project Management role for Boston Pizza International. I successfully worked with franchisees in the design and build of new restaurants. In this role I was a key contributor to the company’s growth that ultimately led to them becoming the number one casual dining brand in Canada! I then moved to YUM! and as the Senior Manager Construction and Design, I worked with a team that successfully corrected the company’s market slide with the opening of over 50 restaurants net over 4 years. In addition, I worked with a global team responsible for the development of the next generation QSR operating model and implemented it nationally.As Director of Construction for Osmington Group, my responsibilities included restaurant builds as well as the Union Station Renovation Project. This challenged me to work with multiple unique stakeholders that included multi-levels of government; Provincial, Federal and Municipal governments, Metrolinx, and TTC, All accomplished within the confines of working in a heritage building which remained in operation and was used daily by over 200K people.My Communication skills have been a key asset to my successes. My focus is on people: those you work with, beside, and for, as well as the people who help you get things done both as stakeholders and those on the job site. This synergy is a necessity and produces great results. This ability along with my experience in project management and excellent problem-solving skills has driven my success.
