Project Manager at Barnfield Engineering

Managing a department of 30 employees, 5 direct and 25 indirect. Overseeing all operational activity on site and within fabrication workshop to meet production targets. Delivering up to 100 projects to a variety of clients per month to client specification and industry standards. Planning proactive delivery of orders to clients on a quarterly view. Improving operational H&S throughout the business, implementing future proof systems and driving culture change.

Responsible for delivering multifaceted mechanical, electrical and civil projects from design and manufacture through to installation and commissioning. Undertaking extensive and complex site surveys to detail client requirements. Delivering all in line with CDM regulations and organisation ISO9001 & 14001 accreditation requirements. Delivering high standards of H&S required within the construction, water & waste water industry, implementing appropriate documentation and safe systems.

Management of one of Thames Water's largest sewage treatment works. Overall responsibility for operation and maintenance of entire works encompassing energy generation assets including 14 conventional digesters and 2 CHP engines. Treating over 5 cubic metres of sewage per second and generation >75MWh energy per day in line with environmental permit and to ISO standards. 16 direct employees and 15 indirect.

Sole responsibility as Site Manager for operations and maintenance teams and activities on site - Controller of Premises at Thames Water Beckton SPG, Beckton STW.My core role is to establish and deliver safety, energy production and financial performance targets for the green power generation plant whilst meeting all statutory Emission Consents. The plant generates circa 40 GWh of green energy per annum. Role is responsible for 15 direct and 20 indirect reports comprising of both operations and skilled maintenance employees.
