With over three decades of experience in the industry, I lead healthcare design services in Nashville for Baker Barrios Architects.My background includes building and leading a satellite office for Burns & McDonnell in Nashville which opened just before the pandemic and grew to twelve people across multiple disciplines and specialties. Burns & McDonnell is a full-service engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting solutions firm with more than 12,000 engineers, architects, construction professionals, planners, estimators, economists, technicians and scientists, representing virtually all design disciplines. Before Burns & McDonnell, I managed hundreds of projects across the country for HCA Healthcare, each with a complete project team including architects, interior designers, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers, civil engineers, structural engineers, general contracting team, CEO, COO and other hospital roles plus other consultants such as equipment planners, IT&S/telecom designers, surveyors and geotechnical engineers. I’ve successfully mentored and led a healthcare architecture team of 20 people while at Gresham, Smith. I was also the senior project manager and principal on multiple projects per year with construction values ranging from $5-150 million.
