I am primarily responsible for providing legal counsel and assistance to managers and supervisors in the VR program at TWC, formerly at DARS. I provide legal counsel to the Business Enterprises of Texas and I am responsible for the agency's subrogation program in the VR program. I also represent the agency in VR Consumer Appeals.

I provide legal counsel and assistance to managers and supervisors in the agency's VR program across Texas. I handle the agency's subrogation matters in the VR program area. I review contracts for the VR program. I provide legal counsel and assistance to the agof Texas. I represent the agency in VR consumer appeal administrative hearings.

I am assigned as the primary Assistant General Counsel for the Division of Blind Services and all isssues that arise out of that program within DARS. I have also been assigned the Lubbock Region for matters arising out of the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) program. I also handle any other matters assigned to me.

I prosecuted all cases assigned to me in the programs of towing, vehicle storage facilities and used auto parts recyclers. I had also handled cases in other programs such as auctioneers. I reviewed cases in these areas, and when appropriate, drafted notices of alleged violations and prosecuted those cases, including taking the cases to administrative.

I had a general practice, including criminal defense, family law, juvenile law, real estate law, estate planning and probate law, disability rights litigation, employment law, and most anything else that was presented. In family law, I handled divorce, child custody, adoptions and CPS cases. In criminal law, I handled both misdemeanors and felonies.

As elected County Attorney, I represented the State in juvenile matters, filed all domestic violence protective orders (over 300); advised county officials when requested, represented the State in all mental health and substance abuse commitment hearings, and represented CPS in all cases of abuse and neglect of children in the county.

I attended each meeting of the Board of Trustees for TSBVI, usually 5 to 6 each year, and handled the business of guiding the school and reviewing the work of the Superintendent of the school. I served as Secretary to the Board in my final year as Trustee.
