In my current role as the Control Room Operator, I oversee and optimize the entire operational procedures for boilers and combustion phenomena at the waste to energy facility. I actively resolve system upsets by imitating stabilization processes to diminish potential process variations. I supervise the support operator for being well-informed of continuous operation of all plant boiler, steam/turbine systems. I comply with standard regulations by adjusting control system as per current requirements through constant observation of plant environmental parameters. I liaise with power grid operators and submit requests in the Oracle Maintenance tracking system, while operating fork trucks and lifts.Some of my major accomplishments are:• Reduced the plant downtime through effective implementation of maintenance and troubleshooting of the plant operations for resolving system breakdowns.• Firmly adhered to safety standards for ensuring overall plant safety.• Conducted and completed training sessions for personnel by directing and mentoring lower job classifications while studying for a new ASME license classification.

In my last role as the Combustion Turbine Technician, I inspected and recorded the instrumental data to ensure operational safety of plant and steam cycle. I applied all safety and environmental rules and completed boiler water testing and chemical addition, while projecting required statistics and conveying to PJM and GPU dispatchers. I employed innovative tools to assemble, repair and reassemble plant components, whereas replacing/fabricating minor parts as per requires. I managed the electrical and mechanical Lock-Out-Tag-Out for equipment isolation up to 500KV. I controlled the inventory levels by maintaining and placing purchase orders for supplies/chemicals required for plant operations. I operated tractors, tow motors, man lifts and cranes.Some of my major accomplishments are:• Administered and performed the operational execution and relevant testing procedures for a 900 MW combined cycle power plant and all auxiliary equipment; along with GE 7FB.02 and GE Frame 5 Combustion Turbines; and Alstom HRSG's and Clever Brooks Auxiliary boiler.• Thoroughly comprehended the prints including electrical and mechanical blueprints, isometric prints and Process and instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) prints.• Skillfully trained the new recruits and defined workflow procedures by deploying effective execution strategies.• Selected as one of the new recruits for closely collaborating with the contractors to initiate and commission newly constructed plant.
