Promat is a global leader in producing high temperature, high performance insulation for major sectors including Defense, Transportation, Energy, and more.I was a member of the Engineering Department (TSD) where my main function was to identify and solve any problems related to engineering of specific products, manufacturing methods and procedures. I was also responsible for creating and maintaining engineering drawing sets for our production teams, as well as creating cut programs for our waterjet, laser, and cnc milling operations. I also built prototypes and samples for special customers and product testing. Continuous improvement was a large part of my mindset in this position. Proudly achieved employee impact awards.

• Served as assistant to Senior Research Engineer and Distinguished Inventor James W Klett, Ph.D• Published research/co-authored technical reports• Performed Special R&D for govt entities: USSOCOM, JSOC, ARDEC, FBI, and others.• Designed, Built, Performed, Reported, and Presented countless experiments and tests• Test fired thousands of rounds for multiple military weapon systems in a research capacity, and certified as a firearms instructor and safety officer for these projects (weapons I tested/researched: M4A2, M249SAW, MK46 - 5.56NATO; M240G, MK48 - 7.62NATO; M2 - .50BMG).• Manufactured many materials used in research prototyping. Materials worked with/created: carbon fiber, carbon/carbon composites, graphite & carbon foam, nickel aluminide, 3D printed parts from vast array of materials (abs, nylon, PEEK, polycarb, liquids, Inconel, Ti, Al). Programmed, operated, and maintained both PLC controlled and non-PLC equipment for manufacturing.• Regularly used SOLIDWORKS to create models, created G-Code programs to produce them on any of our various 3D Printers.
