Day to day tasks include network monitoring, responding to alerts, PM tasks, BAU tickets, escalation point for tier 1/2 and project based work. Recent projects include an Exchange upgrade (2007 to O365), Server OS upgrades to 2012 R2 and a MFP rollout across the estate. Currently nearing the end of a data centre move to an IaaS platform which I have been heavily involved from planning to implementation. Work on an on-call rota every other week 24/7.

Based in the North West covering sites for the Shop Direct and Carphone Warehouse contracts on behalf of IBM. Daily tasks include hardware and software break fix tickets, PC builds using SCCM, PC / Laptop hardware maintenance and network troubleshooting – TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS. Cover all aspects of desktop support in an enterprise environment for Windows 7 / Windows Vista / Windows XP / Windows 2000. Complete documentation and asset management tasks on a daily basis, all to ITIL framework guidelines. Frequently complete project based work to tight time scales. Latest project was a full migration from Windows 2000 to Windows 7 for over 300 warehouse based users. Work on OOH support for a week each month.

Developing, maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure. ITIL V3 trained and practised on Service Desk, Desktop and Laptop maintenance/upgrades.
