About Chris Raper

I jumped into the field of Data Science in 2019 and have loved it since! I have experience researching and deploying deep neural networks for computer vision applications for a variety of US DoD clients. I've also built several analytics web applications.In my prior career I was a mechanical design engineer at Roll-Royce for 11 years. There I used my passion for programming to automate a wide variety of tasks and to conduct statistical analyses. I also gave more than one hundred technical presentations to key stakeholders. I worked on many cross-functional teams where I had to solicit and integrate domain expertise from many experts to produce technical solutions.PERSONAL EXPERIENCEAs a hobby to further my CS skills, I have been working on a robot controlled by an Arduino microcontroller and a NVidia Jetson TK1 computer running Ubuntu and ROS.
