Assistant Account Manager for the Education Team

Working in an extremely busy and fast moving office environment, my role as an ACE (Aftercare Excellence) means that no two days are the same. Dealing with customer enquires via email and on the phone, my job is to ensure that that the customer receives the best service possible, while also ensuring that each enquiry is resolved in the best and timely manner.Despite working in a team, I have my own dedicated accounts (major well respected retailers), and this means working building up strong relationships while working with little supervision.My key duties include:Clearly documenting all return calls / requests, issuing returns as appropriate with all relevant documentation. Arranging collections via a range of carriers, dealing with/ investigating and resolving customer queries which can also involve liaising with appropriate internal departments to assist with the resolving of queries. Managing goods through the required processes back to the relevant Vendors. Raising returns and credits.Despite only starting this role in the first quarter of 2019, I have been awarded team player of the month, plus have been involved in the training of new starters in my department.

My main department was Garden Care, however, throughout my time at Thetford I also expanded into the Pet department and regularly help in the warehouse and wherever needed throughout the store.My role included helping and assisting customers both in person and on the phone, till work, merchandising, taking and placing orders, price checking and pricing items, stock taking, general cleaning of my department to ensure a tidy, safe and organised work place, facing up shelves, checking stock levels, arranging deliveries from which I have also assisted to deliver direct to the customer via the companies home delivery service, working closely with my Supervisor and Manager to ensure that any faulty or returned products can be credited or replaced via our suppliers; this also including writing off faulty goods.Finally, ensuring that a day to day jobs list along with any other tasks given was completed to a tight deadline without any disruption to a high quality customer service.From my time at Thetford Garden Centre I established myself as a valuable member of the team.I was regularly offered overtime and became the go to person to help around the store wherever and whenever needed. In addition to this, I also took on a more Supervisor based role, including running the department by myself and taking on administrative duties such as learning how to process and send credit claims, making display posters using the company’s software, and also adjusting stock levels.Originally starting on a temporary basis, I was taken on permanently, and in February 2018 was given permanent extra days to work which resulted in me leaving my previous job.
