I’m a passionate advocate and strategic leader at the forefront of health equity. Here at Takeda, I'm proud to steer our efforts in making healthcare more accessible, inclusive, and equitable for every community.My journey has been fueled by a commitment to social justice and a belief that health is a human right, not a privilege. With over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry, I have become a catalyst for change, driving initiatives that dismantle barriers and promote a healthier society for all.As the Vice President of U.S. Health Equity, CSR & Philanthropy at Takeda, I collaborate with a diverse team of innovators, policymakers, and community leaders to develop sustainable solutions that address the social determinants of health and improve access to quality healthcare. We're not just talking about making a difference; we're putting our words into action. I also am the Executive Sponsor of Takeda’s African American employee resource group, called the Black Leadership Council (BLC). I believe in the power of data-driven decision-making and the importance of listening to the voices of those we serve. My approach is holistic, considering the full spectrum of factors that contribute to health disparities, from environmental conditions to access to education and employment. In addition to my work at Takeda, I have amassed a wealth of experience in community-based healthcare through my work with public health organizations, non-profits, and academic institutions to help strengthen healthcare systems in underserved communities around the world.My vision is simple yet bold: Create a world where everyone, regardless of where they live, has the opportunity to live their healthiest life.
