About Chris Redinger

Helping inventors create novel hardware products is a great privilege. From the start of my engineering career, I've thoroughly enjoyed bringing ideas to life. But I quickly noticed a hole in the development cycle. Founders were getting burned out, struggling to juggle all aspects of development from funding through production. The lucky ones had co-founders to help balance the load, but others simply had to persevere through, or burnout. So I began taking some of that load off them. An independent consultant, focused on engineering excellence and practical results. The problem is: founders put a lot of expectation on themselves. Soon, the inventor is wearing the hat of a systems engineer and project manager (both of which can be decades-long career endeavors by themselves), and trying to juggle the technical aspects while worrying about product/market fit and financing. What if you could offload the technical burden?I'm passionate about creating durable, user-friendly, and cost-effective products that meet complex stakeholder requirements, including durability, waterproofing, BOM cost, medical device compliance, cycling, and a multitude of other project-specific needs.---Some businesses I’ve worked with are in these industries: drones (system design/architecture), wearable devices/sensors, medical sensors/insertion tools, electric toothbrushes, test equipment (medical and industrial durability/characterization), and baby products.Put simply: I manage and guide the technical aspects of development projects. But, if you must put a label on some of the hats I wear for you: Concept Ideator, Prototyping Strategist, Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Systems Engineer (Integration), Sourcing, Manufacturing Communicator, Quality Assurance Specialist, and Vendor Relation Manager.I thrive on connecting people and resources to create exceptional products and solutions. My approach remains straightforward: make it better, make it durable, and make it user-friendly. With a focus on engineering excellence and practical results, I look forward to continuing my journey of innovation and collaboration.See where I can plug in to your team! Shoot me a DM.
