Chris is a strategic risk consultant who works with forward thinking companies to achieve optimal return on investment in the areas of human capital management, insurance and exposure mitigation/avoidance programs. He leads Lockton’s Wine Country office in Sonoma, CA and is focused on growing the market by enabling an entrepreneurial environment where Associates are empowered to exceed clients’ expectations. He and the local team utilize their specific expertise within multiple industry verticals; including wine and wine related businesses, construction, independent grocery stores, technology, healthcare and retail/wholesale trade; to align Lockton’s tools & resources, along with industry best practices to drive the best outcomes for clients.For example, Chris created a purchasing collective for wine and wine related businesses with a leading health insurer that offered below market premiums as well as products and services specifically designed to the characteristics of these types of companies. That solution delivered 0% cost increases for four out of five years. This is unheard of in the marketplace. Chris is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University; was named a 40 Under 40 top business leader by the San Francisco North Bay Business Journal; past President of the Northern California Employee Benefits Council (NCEBC); former Board Member of the Marin HR Forum; and is routinely called upon as a subject matter expert in articles by the North Bay Business Journal and Wine Business Monthly. He is also a frequent speaker, collaborator and panelist for industry events.Outside of work, he and his wife Shannon are raising two wonderful kids in Sonoma. Their sports and activities keep them quite busy, but they love to travel as a family. They are passionate about wine, one of the nice perks of living where they do. Chris is an Assistant Scout Master for his son’s Boy Scout Troop and his interests include golfing, snowboarding, swimming, camping, hiking, gardening and anything that gets him outdoors.
