I am a dedicated secondary English teacher with a passion for helping young people realize their full potential. My approach to learning is holistic, bringing special awareness to each teen’s mental health. Young adults are particularly susceptible to anxiety and depression, and can be easily overwhelmed with the additional pressures—academic, athletic and social— that high school brings. My goal is to not only engage and educate them in the classroom but also set them up for success in life. As a Catholic writing and literature educator for 26 years, I have also a pastoral relationship with my students. I use my knowledge of yoga, mindfulness practice and breath-work to mentor my students, ensuring that they are not only good writers, and critical thinkers, but also good, healthy humans.
