Working with the global editorial team and key destination service providers, I have overall responsibility for the editorial content and housing data integrity of the World Trade Resource (WTR) portal. The ultimate goal of WTR is to ensure that clients have the up-to-date information and support they need for doing business in the challenging - as well as the more familiar - markets around the world. My editorial work for WTR includes strategic research related to a variety of client and prospect scenarios, publishing articles concerning industry trends and providing global travel/health advisories to key clients. A large part of my editorial work is dedicated to the creation and enhancement of the expat city and country guides that are published by WTR.

Sales and global mobility consulting in the Geneva area. I left the job unexpectedly in March 2013 due to family obligations in the UK.

Returning to Europe, I was responsible for introducing the Acadia procurement system to clients as a strategic tool. Based at the company’s European HQ near Zurich, I focused primarily on the London, Paris, Swiss and Netherlands markets, although regularly I travelled to other locations within and beyond the region to pursue specific sales opportunities. I also acted as Global Account Manager for key clients of the company.

Transfer to North America to establish procedures for newly signed key accounts requiring global mobility services in the global mobility arena, and to subsequently manage their ongoing development. I was frequently called upon to 'upsell' Crown's global mobility services to established clients on the moving side.

This was a strategic sales position, networking in French mobility circles to raise the profile of the company's new range of Global Mobility Services. I also frequently assisted sales colleagues in other parts of Europe.However my major wins were all in France, where we were able to add several Fortune 500 companies to our client list. The job also got me involved in project management in frontier locations, networking activity, and presentations at corporate relocation conferences around the world, from Belgium to Brazil. My greatest achievement however was simply the fact that I gained a full understanding of the French market. By navigating Paris and regional business circles almost as a ‘native’, I was able to get access to the key decision-makers of all the big companies there. By the time I left the country, my contacts (both personal and professional) had forgotten I was ever British...!

Based in Paris, I was responsible for the business development of the RRI (Relocation Resources International) offices both there and in London. I was frequently called upon to assist with sales presentations in the USA, and to work on 'group move' projects elsewhere in the world.

My first job was as a Relocation Co-ordinator at the then Merrill Lynch Relocation office in London. The company was acquired by Prudential Relocation, and I was subsequently promoted to Client Services Director. In 1992 I was transferred to the Prudential Relocation office in Connecticut in order to manage their New York area client base, and a team of Relocation Co-ordinators. Throughout this time I travelled frequently for client meetings and projects, as required.
