Support complex integration projects, consult on technical sales issues, support legacy and current products & user interfaces, and provide the first level of technical support to technicians for the Southwest Zone. Primarily responsible for supporting Central & South Texas and Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities include working with sales to ensure proper application of new product offerings, troubleshooting complex issues at customer sites, and training of solutions and service technicians to help maintain a high level of expertise. Also tasked with supporting integration projects, consulting on complex technical sales issues, and providing the first level of technical support to technicians.

Create database and Powers Process Control Language (PPCL) code to implement control strategies and sequences of operation. Perform on-site device checkout, controller start-up, point-to-point checkout, and sequence checkout. Install control system front-end software on database server (per-job basis), establish communication with primary field panel controllers, upload databases to the server, and create graphics for end-user operations. Train customers on the use of their Apogee Insight end-user software and, more specifically, how their new control system functions. Integrate to and/or control 3rd party devices as needed.

Responsible for project designs, system layouts, and database generation. Create initial databases and program code to implement control strategies and sequences of operation. Coordinate with contractors and project engineers to resolve any issues/questions that may arise during the design phase.

Use the Firepond Interactive Configurator Suite (ICS)/Product Data Manager to design, create, enter, and unit test the PPCL and Sequence of Operations data elements for the second phase of the Polaris/SABER AHU configurator project. Assist with the design, data entry, and unit testing of the Mechanical drawing data element for the second phase of the Polaris/SABER AHU configurator project. Make corrections to the PPCL & Sequence of Operations data elements after system testing of the Polaris/SABER AHU Phase 2 data was completed.

Experience with project design, management, database generation, installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning of Building Automation System (BAS) projects. Worked closely with customers to figure out and provide for their BAS needs. Conducted numerous training courses in the branch office, and at various customer sites, to instruct and familiarize customers with their installed Apogee control systems, how to use the Apogee Insight end-user interface software, and how to get the most out of their investment. Work with fellow employees to share information, experiences, problems, and solutions encountered on various projects.
