Chris Rose Email and Phone Number
Chris is a seasoned Chief Legal Officer / General Counsel (Inside and Outside) with substantial experience advising, counseling and executing for Boards and CEOs. I have over 25 years of experience helping clients navigate complex regulatory issues and transactions. I pride myself on partnering with my CEOs and have often been asked by them to lead negotiations by taking over the role of Corporate Development in addition to running legal. My corporate generalist background and JD / MBA training have equipped me to understand both the legal and business issues in gray zones for my clients and to help them navigate the most difficult times and transactions. I have worked in industries ranging from insurance / fin tech, electric vehicles, life sciences, energy storage and renewables, private equity and venture capital, semiconductors, retail, gaming, software and services and healthcare, particularly in times of disruption / transformation, regulatory changes and industry consolidation. I have extensive experience operating across borders and cultures (EU, Asia and Middle East) and finding solutions when none are readily apparent. I have led M&A negotiations on 100s of transactions ranging from a few million to multi-billion dollar transactions, ran fundraising in-house at a start-up and closed 100s of millions in VC funding, closed joint ventures around the globe, and led IPO readiness and IPO filings. I am a corporate generalist with experience in contracting, HR, IR and SEC filings. I have substantial experience leading and building Teams in not just legal but also finance, compliance, regulatory, corporate development and business development. I know the importance of creating teams and leading by example and persuasion and not just fiat. I enjoy working with demanding CEOs, high powered boards, short timelines and across borders, time zones and cultures. There is nothing as fun in life as setting out to accomplish a task that appears impossible, breaking it into a series of doable steps that make it possible and leading a Team to its goal one step at a time. I am an execution junkie that only requires a CEO and Board with a vision and I can help them to their goals as a trusted counselor and their proxy at the negotiating table to turn their vision to reality.
