Key stakeholder within Commercial Customer Services for theEnvironment Agency Monitoring Laboratories, responsible for thedelivery of seven figure projects.Responsible for engaging Water Companies/samplingsubcontractors in sampling protocols (jointly developed) andproviding sampling consumables for the biggest wastewater-basedepidemiology laboratory in Europe throughout the global pandemic.Highest profile clients included UKHSA, DEFRA & MoJ.Duties included; Rapid scale up from 40-600+ (June-September2021) sites following a successful pilot for ‘SARS-CoV-2Wastewater Surveillance’ Program, dynamic set-up for high profileevents and outbreaks, providing internal guidance for varyingiterations of data reporting requirements whilst adhering to tightdeadlines, migration of data from internal systems to cloud basedstorage buckets, identifying and relaying risks and issues on dailystakeholder meetings, translating technical laboratory issues withexternal experts and non-experts, managing complex logisticsincluding high throughput sample numbers and onward forwardingto various stakeholders including academia, Responding to fastpaced growth and additional demand whilst delivering agreedreporting targets for ongoing analysis within agreed timescales.Developed a bespoke project environment, including guidancedocument and user training to ensure all projects are managed withthe UKAS-17025 accredited standards.Creation and maintenance of a bespoke report tool, using myknowledge and understanding of QBE reports, to enable accurateevidence for invoicing and to support finance audits from theNational Audit Office.CommunicationReceived multiple commendations from various externalstakeholders whilst project managing the ‘SARS-CoV-2 WastewaterSurveillance’. This was an early warning system for communityoutbreaks, part of Pillar 2 of the country’s pandemic response.
