Duties included management of projects, vendor management (Allegro, New Energy Associates, and Reval), capital budgeting, and strategic IS planning. Managed a $6.5 million capital budget and staff located in Houston and Calgary. Accomplishments: * Resolved critical performances issues with Direct Energy’s main trading software package by implementing a custom developed risk calculation application.* Implemented daily credit risk reporting for Direct Energy’s North American trading operations. The project involved IT development staff working in Calgary and Houston. * Ensured IT development efforts were aligned with business goals at Direct Energy by implementing a common application backlog for all wholesale trading business units. The backlog involved having monthly meetings with regional business management.

Managed UBS Warburg Energy’s (UBSWE) SAP system, deal clearing systems, and operational analysis systems which involved managing multiple project teams, with multiple project timelines and resource requirements.* Managed a project for migrating UBSWE to UBS Warburg’s global SAP system. Technical staff was located in Houston, Stamford, and London. * Managed various projects that delivered control related enhancements to UBSWE’s deal clearing systems. * Managed a project that successfully developed and implemented a gas and power operational analysis system. This system resolved control issues that UBS Warburg had with UBSWE systems.

Managed multiple concurrent projects that successfully delivered projects to set timelines and project plans. * Managed teams comprised of over 20 people that were responsible for splitting Enron’s Gas and Power mid and back office systems into two sets of systems. This project helped enable UBSWE to start up operations within two months after negotiations for the purchase of Enron’s trading business started.* Managed teams responsible for successfully delivering enhancements and production fixes for Enron’s North American physical and financial deal confirmation systems. * Managed a project that successfully developed a settlements system on schedule and within budget for Enron’s Industrial Markets business. * Managed multiple teams comprised of over 20 people in support of Enron’s North American gas, power, and international financial wholesale settlements systems. • Managed a project that coordinated all downstream system integration for a new e-commerce site that Enron developed for the paper industry.• Managed a project that successfully implemented interfaces from Enron’s North American wholesale settlements systems to SAP.
