Lead Engineer in the design and fabrication of custom heat treat ovens and furnaces, designing in AUTODESK AUTOCAD and Inventor in 2D and 3D. Responsibilities included the specifications for all components, fabrication, start up and installation.

Design of heat-treat furnaces for industrial & laboratory use.Drafting of designs in AUTOCAD in 2-D and 3-D.Authored the design criteria for several families of heat treat furnace designs including the criteria to meet or exceed the regulations of most international countries. This work including start up procedures, in process checks of equipment, recommended spare parts, recommended preventive maintenance and installation criteria.

Design of residential timber structures using ENERCALC. Drafting in AUTOCAD. Supervision of drafting tasks.

Re-configuration and Re-fit of steel and concrete industrial/manufacturing structures using RAMSBEAM and MATHCAD, design of timber structures. Drafting in AUTOCAD. Use of STAADPro structural engineering software.

Performed structural engineering for the design of buildings and bridges, and provided telecommunications tower analysis. Building design included assisting in field inspection of existing 80-year-old glass plant to be converted into a greenhouse for a major automobile manufacturer. Design of antenna mounts for rooftop attachments, analysis of roof structures, and tower analysis for guyed, self-supporting, and monopole towers for wireless carriers.

Engineering for pre-stressed and steel girder bridges for NCDOT, SCDOT, and private sector bridges.Performed drafting tasks for medical and administrative office buildings using AUTOCAD.
