I am a hands-on technology leader with extensive industry experience in technical management, PCB/Mechanical design, PCB fabrication/assembly support, configuration management, product lifecycle management, EMS, process development and infrastructure.I lead the corporate PCB design team providing PCB design services, PCB fabrication and Assembly support (DFM/DFA and failure analysis) for all technical hardware projects for Orbcomm, a $200M international Satellite M2M (Machine to Machine) data services company. My focus is centralized PCB design services. My team supports design activity across four North American sites using multiple leading edge e-CAD tools (OrCAD, Allegro and Altium). I provide technical direction as 1st contact for all overseas manufacturers, technical prime for Engineering on all product manufacturing issues. As well, I facilitate quick turn prototype activities with local CM’s and PCB suppliers. Additionally, I perform mechanical design using AutoCAD and Solidworks to support manufacturing in terms of SMT/test fixture design. Finally, to round out these responsibilities, I facilitate change traffic, lifecycle adjustments and component engineering activities using Agile PLM.I challenge myself to be the person in charge of not only a team, but of an entire function. I make it my mission to show those that I work with that I can be trusted to put the Company first and do everything and anything I can to ensure the success of projects I work on and to build a team that is a trusted resource for the Company. I am the go to person for the company in the areas of PCB Design, PCB Fabrication and Assembly Support. I don’t just complete projects, I own the bigger picture. I look to the future and determine what needs to be done today to support upcoming projects and make sure my team is ready to tackle anything that comes our way. I own my functional team’s success and failures and work to make sure we scale with the company.
