Program ManagerDarpa Jan 2010 - Jul 2013SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS/IMPACT: Led the development and executed two groundbreaking hypersonic boost glide flight tests, bothcharacterized by the Agency Director as one of the most logistically and technically complexdemonstrations conducted by DARPA. Effectively directed a multi agency, 500+ member team in the development and demonstration ofseveral groundbreaking demonstrations of hypersonic technologies from the HTV-2 program toinclude the following: Forged the development of the first on-line adaptive guidance and control system for ahypersonic vehicle. Led the development, manufacture, and flight test of the largest non-axisymmetric, thermal andmechanical load bearing all Carbon/Carbon thermal protection system ever created for ahypersonic vehicle. Directed and successfully delivered the post flight analysis from two consecutive HTV-2 flightactivities Clearly communicated to senior DoD leadership the most significant improvement to boost glidemodeling and simulation in the area of hypersonic boundary layer transition, aerothermalphenomena, and high temperature composite thermal protection system response in threedecades. Awarded DARPA Program Manager of the Year for 2011.
