About Chris Selinger

My experience as a support engineer, system administrator, professional service engineer and pre-sales engineer provided me with the opportunity to work on multiple operating systems and applications. A few examples of the operating systems I have worked on and supported are (Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, AIX, SGI IRIX & DEC ULTRIX,Linux) for Unix OS, and (DOS, WIN 3.1, 95, 98, XP, Win7,Windows 10 NT 4.0, 2000, 2003, 2008,2012,2016) for windows. I have installed and supported many applications in my professional career some examples of these applications are BMC Patrol, BMC Control SA, Checkpoint Firewall, Websense, Norton Symantec, RSA SecureID, Password Courier and Profile Courier, EMC Networker, and HP Output Manager. While working as system administrator I created file system by using the LUN from the EMC storage array. I have worked with virtualization technologies for 9 years VM’s for windows and LPARS on AIX. My knowledge TCP/IP and networking is very strong I have installed over 100 Firewalls being a Certified Checkpoint engineer. I have attended three new training classes Securty+, Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices part 1, and 2. I successfully completed and passed the Security+ Certification 12/28/10. I have experience writing scripts to automate administrative tasks. I work well with a team, whilst also working efficiently on my own. My written and verbal communication skills are strong. My experience and knowledge provide me the ability to isolate problems and offer a solution to resolve them.
