Manage all Captial Projects and Facility Maintenance for Savannah Terminal.

Owner and operator of Tybee Trees Inn Bed and Breakfast on Tybee Island. We rented three bedrooms by the night from our home. 2006 gross sales were $42,000. We closed in November 2006 due to excessive noise from the adjacent commercial properties.

• Provide Savannah Manufacturing facility maintenance for five buildings including pneumatic system, chill water system, boiler and piping network, fire alarm system, deionized water system, wastewater processing system.
• Facilitate manufacturing facility shutdown including equipment liquidation, building preparation, waste removal, and security.

• Design and install additional storage vessel to improve batch throughput in the facility’s most critical processing module. Project resulted in 35% improvement in batch throughput. Project was completed under budget of.
• Purchase and installation of raw material flow meters to improve bulk raw material dosing and reduce batch cycle times. $40K project reduced shampoo and conditioner cycle times by 7%.

• Supervise six processors, three pre-weigh operators, and two mechanics in a two shift production environment.
• Completed installation and commissioning of $2 million 10,000 liter automated mixing skid. Performed troubleshooting and programmed batching and CIP recipes using Rockwell automation. Reduced batch cycle times from 12.
• Participated in capital expenditure projects including vessel acquisition, mixer installation, flow meter implementation, ergonomic bag handling units, and further use of automation.
• Improved manufacturing procedures and processes resulting in reduced batch cycle times and increased Right the First Time from 84% average to 94% average over one year.
• Established modularity between processing modules and packaging lines to reduce changeovers, improve yields, and minimize utility use.

• Supervise twenty one packaging operators and packers across ten packaging lines. Packaging lines included packette machines, kit assembly lines, and tub filling lines.
• Implement SMED on two kit assembly lines resulting in reducing changeover times from two hours to six minutes.
• Implement productive maintenance program for six packette machines resulting in increased production uptime from 42% to 58%
• Improve kit, packette, and tub schedule adherence from average 85% to an average of 94.5% over a six month period.
