Whilst undertaking the role of Project Manager / CRE at Spencer, I have furthered my knowledge in multi discipline projects. I have worked principally on 2 large projects during my time with Spencer, Ipswich Chord and Ipswich Yard. Although a key part of delivering projects is the commercial and programme element, I have spent a vast amount of time with our health and safety team to ensure that we can implement all aspects of our proposals safely and not jeopardise any of the existing infrastructure as well as protecting 3rd parties and operatives.

Since joining Spencers in 2011, i have developed and enhanced my portfolio across the companies multi-disciplinery projects. During this time I have expanded my knowledge considerably in Civils, OLE, Signalling, Electrical and Telecoms. Whilst working alongside project managers / directors, i have estabilished a strong relationship with both internal peers and that of the client. Whilst running sites on a day to day basis, from site setup to handback i have also acted as CRE under metorship (Deputy) on a number of projects.Since integrating into the team i have worked on such projects as Whitemoor NTMRC,West Anglia Platform Extensions, Stansted Airport Platform Extension, North Fambridge Loop Platform Extension and Sandy Platform Extensions.

The above position was terminated on 31st March 2010, due to the cease in trade of Jarvis, forcing myself into redundancy.Duties Include:The main aspect of my job role was to plan S&C and plain line renewals on the LNE and i would also see the job through to handback by completing the setting out procedures and installing the track during possessions limits.On site surveys, including Asbuilts, Hallade re-alignment designs, Total Station surveys and various setting out procedures including pegging out critical locations. Frequently undertaken level 1, 2 & 3 stressing throughout a series of different environments. (Known as TR 10 Module throughout the industry) Preparation of geometry and front offset files for Tamping, using ALC and GECO software.Completing planning documentation including the use of Gantt and Time distance charts using Tilos 6 and Microsoft Project.Ensuring Key deadlines are met for Network Rail KPI's, including the completion of Work Package Plans, Job Sheets, Train Requisitions, Health and safety documents and Gantt Charts.Whilst completing these documents i would often attend regular meetings with the client to ensure these deadlines are achieved and to discuss the practiability of the projects in place. Completing on site deliverables such as traditional excavation works using multi grade lasers, ballast cleaning, stressing, tamping and completing their associated commissioning paperwork such as CRT, Forms A-G, Stressing Certificates etc. During this role i have gained an extensive knowledge in Plain Line and S&C renewals, ranging from planning procedures through to the deliverability stages. I have used and gained knowledge into a wide variety of software in my role such as Tilos 6, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project, ALC, GECO, Design Route (Vertical and Horizontal) and basic underpinning knowledge of Trimble Total Station equipment.
