Throughout my time at Boeing, I have worked on various projects which aim to deliver both minor and major capability upgrades to aircraft. I have been involved in various phases of the project lifecycle; from the conceptual stage when a project has been in the RFT phase, to developing designs which comply with both airworthiness and Boeing requirements, supporting modification incorporation, and assisting with Flight Testing preparation activities. I have worked closely with engineers of various disciplines during the execution of designs and also the CoA in determining feasibility of design options during the conceptual stages of a design. When delivering work, I aim to ensure that a safe, quality design is achieved which meets the applicable airworthiness requirements and needs set out by the customer.

Working in the Mechanical and Structures engineering team at NGIDS, my role was to provide in-service engineering support to the RAAF for issues that arise on the KC-30A Multi Role Tanker Transport pertaining to systems that included, but not limited to: • Aircraft structures • Mechanical Systems/components (i.e. Flight controls, Hydraulics, Fuel systems) • Consumables (i.e. Fuels, paints, solvents)I liaised with the customer (SQN/WG) and OEM (Airbus Defence & Space) to find solutions to damage, non-conformances or maintenance faults/issues with the aircraft and assisted in the implementation and, in certain cases, validation of the solution. Often, this required assessing the extent of the damage or fault, evaluating the function of and load cases upon the component/system, and then designing a repair and developing engineering documentation for the maintainers to incorporate the repair whilst conforming to airworthiness and OH&S regulations.

As assistant technical director, I liaised with technical director about jobs or issues technically relating to the team, overseen and assisted with decision making regarding development and performance aspects of the car, and delegated tasks and helped ensure development timelines were adhered to. As testing operations coordinator, I organised a suitable time and location to carry out testing of the car, planned an agenda for the tests and overseen the running of the tests.

Working at Komatsu in the Reliability Engineering and with Technical Services departments, my main role has been to carry out FMEA on failed machine/vehicle components. I have assisted with inspection of the components (photos, measurements), proposing a hypothesis for cause of failure and then compiling a report of the findings. I have also prepared reliability reports by; taking information/data from the customer about failures, collating and analysing the data for patterns and trends and then preparing graphs and reports to illustrate the information for the customer.
