I am the Director and Founder of Locksley Architects, an award winning Chartered RIBA practice in Notting Hill. We specialise in residential extensions and refurbishments in and around London. We always ensure that our clients will highly recommended us and you can contact any of our recent clients to ensure this. We also have a great network of builders and consultants who we engage with on a variety of projects. We also have a great relationship with London councils and a great planning approval rate.I am a qualified Architect with over 25 years experience. Before I set up my own practice I worked with a variety of award winning Architects (Wilkinson Eyre, BDP) and Contractors (Vinci Construction UK) on projects spanning all sectors. This has provided me with a broad range of experiences to draw upon when confronted with the many problems designing and constructing provides.At Locksley Architects I have successfully managed small teams, construction packages and many sub contractors to deliver projects on programme and on budget. I have proven to be highly adaptable on both a personal and professional basis, and am a strong believer that a successful, dynamic project team is based on mutual trust, experience, awareness, and accountability. I was seconded to the main contractor Vinci UK to facilitate the detailed design and project delivery of the key areas of the building. I was a central member of a large team of experienced architects, which required strong communication skills to keep all members of the design team and the contractor/client updated with the various stages of work and approvals. I designed the initial concept and developed the scheme design to planning approval. I personally coordinated the production information, cladding details, specification, and contract documents including the collateral agreements with the client and design team. Project delivered on time and on budget and nominated for Market Drayton building of the year award.Contract Value £5m Design & Build (bespoke) - 6000sqm Bill house, Birmingham Time on project 1 year 6 monthsProject architect for a large mixed-use scheme project in Birmingham. I was responsible for developing the concept design for 122sqm light industrial site and obtaining planning permission from the local authority. We successfully received planning application for the client who subsequently sold the development. I was also responsible for the design and development of the transport interchange tower and communications centre with a short programme, I prepared detail physical and computer models with contextual and detailed plans, sections & elevations, including presentations with design directors and client. Site ArchitectMdr Architects Jul 2003 - Sep 2004Colinette Road, Putney Time on project 1 year 6 monthsI assisted with the refurbishment and extension of a large town house to eight luxury flats and a four bedroom house. Working with the architects I produced the production information and specification to the tender stage and I was then novated to the contractor as site agent to supervise the site works for the duration of the build. I was responsible for co-coordinating with the structural engineer and all the sub contractors and interpreting their information to the client’s approval. Contract Value £1m IFC – 1000sqm
