I am a former Police Chief Inspector, I retired in Dec 2015 as the Head of the Roads Policing and Firearms Operations Unit for Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies. I retired after completing 30 yrs service. Throughout my police service I was passionate about Road Safety . I led on numerous campaigns culminating in the production of Davids Story a video aimed at car drivers and motorcyclists. The video was designed to raise the awareness of road users in relation to driver behaviour and depicts a motorcyclist's last journey captured on his helmet camera as he was tragically killed as a result of a collision with a car. The video received several hundred thousand view in the first 24 hours going on to receive millions of views over the next few months. I am qualified as a Serious and Fatal Collision Senior Investigating Officer from my time in Roads Policing , my current position at Westcotec allows me to use this experience to assist our clients with collision hotspot solutions and other road safety schemes. I am also experienced in the resolution of community speeding issues,again this is an advantage when dealing with clients who are suffering with these issues After my retirement I took up a position at Westcotec Ltd . We are a Traffic Safety Systems company we design, manufacture and install Vehicle Activated Signs along with other types of Intelligent Traffic Safety Systems .My role was within the Sales and Marketing Team providing advice and consultation to our clients and facilitating the smooth purchase and installation of our products all over the UK and into Europe and beyond. On 1st August 2018 Westcotec became an employee owned company with the owner passing the company into an Employee Ownership Trust with myself being in the very fortunate position to be appointed Managing Director of the new company.
