We transformed Europe into one of Clorox fastest growing business units, successfully navigating a COVID lockdown, a global supply-chain meltdown, a return to office, a cyber-attack, big customer, supply chain, eCommerce and brand transformations. I was fortunate to lead and grow an immensely talented team.

I led a £400m Net sales business of Super/Ultra premium, Prestige & Incubation brands to double-digit growth (2x growth of prior 2-years). Through culture-led comms and digital thinking, we accelerated brands like Ketel One & CȊROC vodkas, Don Julio & Casamigo's tequila, Zacapa Rum and a portfolio of Malt whiskies and Incubation brands (Villa Ascenti gin, Belsazar aperitif, Copper Dog whiskey, Seedlip no-alc).

I led Diageo in Germany, Poland, Austria and Switzerland, a £300m Net Sales business and 4 amazing markets. With a team of 350+ we delivered strong and holistic Net sales, Operating profit and Market share growth in flat markets whilst driving operating costs down. We took Johnnie Walker from decline to #1 Scotch brand in Germany. We had a strong and engaged people-first culture, driving diversity of talent in all areas.

In what was the job of a lifetime, I led global and in-country teams to transform Innovation across Africa. We delivered breakthrough beer, spirits, RTD and no-alc innovation in the face of high market volatility, growing innovation from 12% of Net sales to 20%. We launched a new beer in Ethiopia in 8-weeks and the first Kenyan cider in 32-weeks. Africa Innovation became a magnet for great talent in Diageo.

Partnered with a wide network of Global brand teams, in-market brand & customer marketing teams, category & commercial experts to transform Diageo’s approach to Customer Marketing for the vodka, gin & rum categories.

Led a team of 45 responsible for customer marketing, category management, pricing, insight and planning experts. We owned the rolling commercial programme and drove performance across Britvic’s 3 key sales channels (grocery, impulse and leisure) with a shopper-marketing budget of c. £25m.

Led the 1bn litre, £500m Net sales Pepsi/carbonates business. After years of decline, delivered double-digit Net sales/profit growth for 10 quarters, adding 200m litres / £100m Net sales. We inspired a complex network of PepsiCo & Britvic stakeholders, delivering innovation and high performance, winning PepsiCo European ‘Bottler of the year’ in 09 & 10 and global bottler of the year in 2011.
