Working at Tilt enabled me to design unique spaces and experiences, exemplified by my work on Bagshot Row at the Hobbiton Movie Set—the first functional and scaled Hobbit Hole that visitors can enter. These unique spaces are now a key part of one of New Zealand's most famous tourist destinations. A collaborative approach was required with an array of with renowned illustrators and craftspeople to coordinate complex architectural and structural elements, developing construction methodologies and spatial layouts while producing detailed 3D models for visualization, consent documentation & construction.

As an Associate, I lead projects from Concept Design through to Code Compliance. The Arches Apartments in Mission Bay was a particularly invaluable experience. Starting from the developed design stage, we served as the lead consultant, coordinating Design Team meetings and 3D model integration with consultants and subcontractors. I managed the building consent process and participated in tender negotiations between the Contractor and Client, providing insights on proposed value engineering items. During construction, I administered the contract, recorded minutes for monthly Project Control Group meetings with various stakeholders, and liaised with the site manager to resolve issues. I conducted site visits, completed defect inspections, and advised the Engineer to the Contract upon achieving Practical Completion.

After graduating from Victoria University of Wellington, I joined Archaus, where I worked within a collaborative team environment on a variety of Residential and Commercial projects. My experience spans bespoke homes, apartments, hotels, surf lifesaving clubrooms, car showrooms, and office fit-outs.Throughout the years i've been involved in every stage of these projects, from concept design and Resource Consents, through to construction documentation, Building Consents, and site observation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.I utilized Autodesk Revit for the design and documentation of these projects, which sparked my keen interest in BIM (Building Information Modelling). Coordinating our architectural models with those of Structural and Services consultants became a crucial aspect of successfully delivering projects at all stages.At Archaus, a team known for its technological innovation, I explored and utilized the latest software, constantly refining design approaches and presentation techniques. I led the development of animations and 4D simulations as key communication tools over multiple years, enhancing the overall design and project outcomes.
