About Chris Stones

Over 7 years’ experience of working in the environmental conservation sector with a MSc. in Environmental Management (Landscape & Wildlife Conservation). Excellent working knowledge of a variety of species and habitats in addition to knowledge of a variety of survey techniques, gained from experience in river conservation, fisheries biology and habitat management.Joining the River Annan & District Salmon Fishery Board in 2010 as a project officer and developing the Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) project from a 2 year programme into what is now its sixth year, successfully securing funding from a range of sources, developing a project strategy and delivering practical control on the ground. The success of the INNS project has allowed me to develop extensive experience of project and financial management, promotional activities, education and community engagement. During my time at the River Annan District & Salmon Fishery Board and River Annan Trust I have progressed from a Project Officer to Operations Manager & Biologist.
