Embeds a personal passion for the power of training and the value of apprenticeships within the brand, and wider business communityI have successfully led a business turnaround that also included a shift in culture and operation within a compressed timescale, which in March 2020, resulted in a staff survey output that ‘staff aptly describe an environment which is inclusive, friendly and welcoming since the introduction of a new senior management team’. I have increased the focus on the quality of education, training and learning experiences, which contributed to raising Ofsted ratings from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’ within 9 months of taking up the post of CEO. I have delivered a robust 3-year business plan that focused on cost reduction, increased efficiency and growth and sustainability that won the buy-in of the charity’s Board of Directors and parent company. I generated a measurable reduction in deficits by 37% in Y1 against the backdrop of COVID-19. I also believe in internal change. I have improved internal communications, culture and focus via bi-monthly staff briefings and the launch of the employee forum, that improved job satisfaction and led to a tangible reduction in staff turnover. I re-engineered the commercial strategy that accelerated revenue generation across all income streams, generated over a million of Adult Education Budget Spend in 6 months, and million-pound-plus growth in Y1. I was critical to the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy within the business and transition of the business model. I also hired and built the Apprenticeship Delivery Team from the ground-up, and challenged the team to develop a cohesive, blended learning experience that achieved high Ofsted standards. I garnered a reputation as the subject-matter-expert for apprenticeships, tailored learning programmes and Keighley’s funded and full-cost portfolio.I achieved 100% YoY growth within the apprenticeship portfolio at one of the toughest times for the segment, launched new commercial income streams with room-hire, corporate training, and bespoke training packages and secured strategic meetings with Education Ministers that led to a personal selection to join the Equality & Diversity Apprenticeship Panel within the Department for Education. Moreover, I pitched, tendered, and won strategic learning partnerships with the NHS, Burberry, and Johnson & Johnson.
