I am expected to receive my Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Purdue University in Fort Wayne Indiana in December of 2015.My college education has taught me to think critically about situations and information and improve my organizational and communication skills. I have gained a better understanding of behavior and learning through my psychology studies. My past experience in the manufacturing industry has taught me organizational skills, multi-tasking, customer service and the importance of providing a quality product or service. My current position as a reserve officer and police/ fire/ 911 dispatcher has further improved my communication and multi-tasking skills especially while working under immense pressure. It has also taught me about the criminal justice system and working with citizens during a traumatic time and dealing with those who have decided to commit a crime. I am certified Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Basic Instructor with a specialty certification in Physical Tactics. I organize and teach police officers skills, techniques and strategies to help them protect themselves and citizens and to quickly, effectively and, as safely as possible, take a suspect into custody.
