About Chris Tate

Chris Tate is a CEO at Condatis at Condatis. He possess expertise in product development, cross functional team leadership, engineering management, microwave, manufacturing and 29 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "Not many people can say that they have had the opportunity to work with a manager and leader who is also a great coach and mentor, always leading my example—but I did when I worked for Chris for 3 years in Optos. Chris has an attention to detail like no one I have ever met as well as excellent man management and leadership skills. He understands the strengths and weaknesses of everyone in his department, which is a unique trait in anyone I have known who has managed a large product development department. Chris was a manager and leader who regularly communicated with his staff and always fought hard for his team(s) and department, acting as an effective interface between the engineering teams and board level. I learnt a great deal from Chris in leadership and management , he was always available to impart advice on difficult situations and was never too busy to speak to anyone, despite a heavy workload (we would often converse into the small hours). His technical understanding is also very high and he used this knowledge along with his management, leadership and business skills to effectively lead complex cross functional product development projects from cradle to grave. Chris always showed trust in his leads and managers and was always supportive of trying new techniques and ideas to continually improve the product development process. Chris successfully led the creation of brand new products from inception through to mass field roll out, tackling the many challenges head on and never abdicating his responsibilities, even if that responsibility was not within his direct remit. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Chris and hope that one day our career paths cross again. As a functional manager or department head, Chris has my highest recommendation.", "Chris is indeed a brilliant Team Manager, he has immense experience and expertise to handle difficult situation with ease. He is a great communicator and has led the team by example, closely working with all cross functional groups and maintaining consistency in his job. He has amazing energy to take meaningful initiatives. I have worked in Chris's team for 3+ years and have always been influenced by his positive attitude to work. It was indeed a pleasure working with him. Chris, wish you all the very best in your future endeavours!", and "Chris is a highly intelligent, adaptive and effective leader in new product development, with an outstanding ability to quickly absorb information on new and advanced technologies and to translate any issue or brief into a clearly communicated action plan for his team. During my time working as Principal Microwave Engineer within his department at MESL, I found Chris to be very diligent, focused and well organised. Chris is highly effective in setting and communicating the prioritisation and importance of engineering activities, yet also has an approachable and welcoming style which encourages confidence and open dialogue from all those who work with and for him. Chris is an excellent presenter who frequently represented both his company and his team with professionalism and enthusiasm when dealing with large Telecoms, Defence and Space OEM customers. I would highly recommend Chris for the management of high tech new product developments, and would welcome the opportunity to work with him again in the future."

Listed skills include Product Development, Cross Functional Team Leadership, Engineering Management, Microwave, and 30 others.
