I was integral in reworking Sheffield's endoscopy referral pathway along with Dr Charles Heatley (CCG Clinical Executive) and Dr Kumar Basu (Lead Gastroenterology consultant at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals). I managed the development of a suite of communication products (bulletins, videos, podcasts) aimed at upskilling GPs and educating the public in efforts to reduce referrals into secondary care and lessen demand on an already over-stretched service. I also led on detailing the patient journey pathways for the Adult Mental Health Liaison Services Business Case. I created various impactful visuals and detailed narrative to define a number of patient journey scenarios which illustrated the importance of integrated physical and mental health care, in particular the early intervention in a patients mental health episode, for both patient well being and efficiency savings for the NHS.
