Parts Quality Engineer (Supplier Development) - Responsible for development direction to all interior suppliers (PPAP, PQCT, PFMEA) - Provide guidance to Tier 1 Quality Management team on all CI activity that drives Quality and Delivery metrics- Coordinate SAP creation with task level items for improvement related items.- Monthly metric updates to operation leaders and provide direction on progress- Lead monthly meetings to ensure all planned metrics are met, and provide guidance in adjustments - Lead cross functional team that includes mass production and development to align current production/market issues- Provide feedback to plant management on high impact plant/market concerns

Duties include but are not limited to:- Crisis management lead for Group (Tooling, Downtime, “A” & “G” rank concerns) Ensure high impact issues are corrected on time and in a cost effective manner.- New line process conformation lead (MPR, PFMEA, PQCT) Confirmation of all line moves and start ups for all appearance related suppliers.-Review/Approve all IPPAAR's (PPAP's) for appearance related suppliers. Overall review for content and adherence to drawing and specifications-Review/Approve all quality and warranty trouble reports for same, ensuring all necessary data is present, as well as ensuring actual root cause and C/M activity has taken place-Act as New Model Evaluator for high risk suppliers to ensure previous/current issues are avoided/mitigated for new launches-Supplier Development of problematic suppliers - mentor associates in proper supplier development activity-Review all Drawings, Changes, Specs for any changes to current/future product related to chassis suppliers-Lead high impact supplier activity at mass production Part Quality level to report to CIE/ACIE and perform prevention activity at global level with affecting supplier- Group lead for all market recovery related items.-Work with other departments (QA, Complex Analysis, Line Quality, etc.) on high impact issues affecting the assembly lines

Duties include but are not limited to: - All mass production concerns that involve Quality, Design, or Assembly - Assists suppliers in the development of their operational characteristics through situational appraisals and creation/development for supplier improvement plans - Confirm implementation of design or new model changes that relate to the process/part at the supplier. - Lead all activity/projects that may involve the supplier “Quality Related” - Plan and implement all tooling transfers and/or modifications. - Review all changes made to PFMEA, PQCT, MPR, and ODS through IPPAAR submission. - Aid production by establishing containment of escaped parts problems. Sort management and escalation review to ensure containment has been achieved. - Review and approve all countermeasure activity relating to quality concerns. - Maintain a professional relationship with the suppliers QEs, QMs, and Upper management. - Work with all HMA departments to ensure supplier related issues are contained and counter measured. - Generate technical reports to capture investigation and to communicate issues to other HMA departments

(High Impact Items Only) - Responsible for direct feedback of market claims/IQS items for Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline (Trending items and high impact items only) - PDI and zero day claim lead for plant side. Direct interactions with dealer sales and warranty teams. (AH side) - Direct feed back to zones and VQ upper management on daily warranty claims and trend items. - Organize and lead meetings with all departments to discuss high impact items that are impacting in the market. - Work with departments on root cause analysis and the implementation of good counter measures for all trend or high impact items. - Responsible for all production related CAR/QIS forms. Ensuring that good counter measures are implemented and quality is obtained.

Duties include but are not limited to: - Responsible for feedback and containment of quality related issues that were discovered during final inspection and testing. - Lead for the following special projects: rework, build out, and short ships due to quality related issues. - New model start up team for UM, XR, NU, and QM models. (Responsible for training of all associates on model change points - Training of new VQ associates (All mass production related testing process’s) - General knowledge of the fit, form, and function of the entire CBU. - Overall testing of completed unit - Department lead for market recovery activity.

Duties include but are not limited to: - Directly supervise 7 out of 16 production stages (35 to 45 Associates) Ensure daily production is meet. - Assist in the design and implementation of all final line assignments (Process layout and work load distribution) - Schedule vendors for outside support needed for material quality defects - Meet monthly production schedule, and minimize overtime hours as to maximize our profitability and efficiency - Handle all employee relation issuesDirectly supervise the mechanical and electrical repair of our product (15 to 25 associates) - Maintain communication between quality, engineering, and all stages of production - Countermeasure quality/workmanship defects and design problems - Work directly with end customer to ensure that expectations are meet for the final product.
