Spent time as an NED and published author on retail marketing planning before going to Australia as CEO of David Jones Ltd, Australia’s second largest department store group, leading it to a successful floatation on the ASX.Substantial experience of buying side of retail: has done business in most SE Asian markets, as well as sourcing fabric and garments in Europe.Worked with US consultants when running development functions.Outside retailing, has put back into society through major pro-bono involvement at trustee director level in a number of charities.
