Since April 2020, I have effectively been managing the IT Operation within Kurt Geiger. In January 2021 this was reflected in my job title. Reporting into the company CFO, in addition to operating the security function within Kurt Geiger, I also manage the day-to-day IT operation.This has included defining the appropriate architecture and working model to move towards in light of Covid and remote working, as well as our next phase of Cloud workload migration.

Responsible for leading the general day-to-day security operations and vendor management to ensure effective security controls are functioning appropriately. For most of 2011 I was deputising and performing the security manager role while we were waiting for backfill, I was officially able to take over the position in September 2011. As this is a position I have been regularly performing for the last year I have been able to manage the change and responsibilities with minimum fuss and handover. In particular the role includes,Main point of contact for day-to-day security management decisions and incident management.Main security liaison for the Department security management team and third party suppliers.Managing a team of three people covering auditing, vetting and vulnerability management - reporting to the Chief Security Officer and Account Directors.Monitoring changes to CESG policy and guidance to ensure our continued compliance.Providing security input and assistance to projects/bids.

Working as part of the operational security team on a large Government account to help manage the day to day security issues on the estate and providing cover for the security manager or security administrator when required.Attending monthly security management meetings.Performed change control and risk assessment reviewing all changes for detrimental impact on existing infrastructure/compliance/accreditation.Advising on physical and personnel security issues.Reviewing technical documentation.Provided support for any operational security incident response.Used RSA enVision appliance to provide GPG13-aligned protective monitoring.Assisting in preparation and remedial actions of a penetration test.
