Port of Felixstowe.Client: Felixstowe Dock and Rail Company (Hutchison Ports UK)The project will extend the existing Berth 8&9 by 190m increasing the combined quay length to 920, allowing the port to berth an increased number of large container vessels at any one time. THe project involves the dredge and reclamation of 1 million cubic metres of material. London, UK – London Gateway PortClient: DP WorldWorking as the Clients Representative with a team of project engineers on the construction of the UK’s newest deep-sea container port combined with Europe’s largest logistics park carrying a project value of £1.5billion. The current phase of the works incorporates the construction of over 1,200m of steel reinforced quay walls and 4km2 of reclaimed land with an approximate value of £500m.Responsibilities Include:* Daily monitoring and QA reporting of works, including quay wall construction, dredging and land reclamation* Quality assurance on all aspects of the build* Inspecting and approving steel reinforcement cages in line with construction drawings* Reviewing and approving risk assessments and method statements* Supervision of construction works on site
