Primarily a maintenance worker at Sunken Meadow State Park, this job eventually involved several different roles as needs changed across NY State Parks.Some main tasks were:1. Supervision of work crews ranging from 3-8 people2. Garbage Removal & Sanitation3. Maintenance and repair of basic equipment and vehicles4. Use of tractors, trucks, hydraulic equipment and more in a variety of weather and terrain5. Collected and distributed inter-agency mail across Long IslandSpecial roles for were needed during events as well, with these being highlights:1. Built COVID-19 vaccine site at Jones Beach (HVAC, traffic control, signage).2. Provided Airport Security for media and VIPs at Republic Airport during Jones Beach Airshow.3. Coordinated traffic control during holidays and events.

Established a marketing plan with goals2. Made a spreadsheet based tracking system to plan campaigns across several networks, including tools to balance future planned posts/ads according to ideal numbers.3. Attended trade shows representing CareerMapLI4. Collected audio recordings + video in studio for a radio show on 103.9 LI News Network, in order to promote on social media and podcastsThis was a position that involved little supervision, and required me to follow through with actions without direct input from others. Overall, this position simultaneously taught me how to work independently on my own and chase goals on my own.

Completed an internship independently during high school at a flight school; opting a different path than others through senior year.Here, I learned and performed the following:1. Clean Cessna and Piper AircraftAlong with this, 2BAPilot let me fly some aircraft to collect marketing material and generally experience what they offer. This was a fixed term internship which I learned a lot from; I was offered a paid position here afterwards but declined to work at NY Parks instead. Overall a good experience I would have continued if logistically possible.
