Tucker Communication Systems Ltd is a consultation practice for radio communication systems, satellite communication systems and antenna design, for both the Defence and Commercial Industry. Chris has over As a Profession Systems Engineer for over 40 years I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to your company. Experience gained from both; theoretical and practical research and development. I am skilled in antenna design from HF to high microwave frequencies. I have a broad knowledge of radio systems from HF to microwaves including Satcoms and rebroadcast systems. Extensive knowledge on satellite ground stations (both military and commercial) and their integration into larger multi-way satellite communication systems.

Working with the NATOJEWCs bid team. NATOJEWC is an electronic warfare system used to create the opposing forces RF environment during NATO exercises. I have been responsible for determining the requirements for the radar pictures from a few hundred megahertz to 30+GHz and electronic warfare environment from 3MHz to 6GHz and the incorporation of this equipment into the host vehicle.For FCAS I have been involved with: System Design Authority and Specialist Engineering Manager on the bilateral UK/Fr FCAS programme working closely with both UK and French avionic and airframe designer specialists. Primary function was the system design of an AESA dual escan Ka band BLOS Satcom antenna for use on the platform. Computations of link budget models both for Satcoms and line of sight communications. Writing of sub system design documentation, computation of SWaP models for use on the aircraft. Use of STK (scenario modeller). I have been involved with the Saudi Arabian National Guard Satcom Project as RF consultant to the project. For the SANG project work involved: design of a complete Ku Band Satellite Communication Hub Station System as well as the design of the RF system for the portable segment. This work included equipment analysis and selection capable of operating in the harsh temperature climate. Further work included incorporation of the equipment into either the ground segment shelters or the transportable shelters. Equipment under my control included, antennas, radomes, amplifiers and up converters, LNBs, modems, and frequency timing and reference units.I was also involved with building the antenna and RF infrastructure in the UK and in country. Testing the antennas to appropriate ITU standards and gaining certification through to Technical Transfer to the customer.

Set up the community radio station Abbey 104. This started broadcasting in February 2012 and has over 25 members.
